Customer Reviews

Simple to use and easy to setup with DSC to my GPSSimple to use and easy to setup with DSC to my GPS. Great value for price. Would be better if the display was brighter but all the radios I looked at had the same problem. 4very nicebrought the brackets for flush mount and installed. nice to came with Templet. works as it should with 4ft antenna. 5Go choice. Tremendous bargain in my opinion.Fit and finish are excellent.Works perfectly. 5Great radio for inland lakesI purchased this radio to be able to communicate with my fishing buddies while fishing on large Canadian shield lakes while on vacation - where txting and calling don't work. The radio works great, we had conversations from about seven miles away, and heard others from 10+ miles, albeit broken up a bt.I've also used it more than I thought I would in Wisconsin, while fishing, when my buds are on the water. I purchased a four foot Shakespeare 5401-XT antenna to go with this. The combination works great. The radio/antenna has been in my boat for about a year - works great. 5Measure before buying - great sellerI am writing more about the seller. We thought this would fit in our son-in-laws boat radio slot and it did not fit. The seller was fantastic and we were able to return the item. We wish it would have fit, the radio looked great. 5Good radio!Good inexpensive VHF for the boat. Reaches out well, easy to use, small. 5nice radioWorks well. Haven't hooked it up to my GPS yet but will soon. Size works well with my my 20ft deck boat. 5Great Radio,Awesome radio, seems to have great range paired with a shakespeare antenna ( I did a lot of reading and chose an 8' antenna). You don't have to buy the most expensive antenna, but you need to buy the right antennae for the type of boat you have. I installed this on a 18ft Lund alum fishing boat, and I chose the connector that you solder, as oppose to the solderless. That being said I am pretty handy and soldering is a no brained for me. between Radio and Antenna I have a little over $200 invested. I fish the Great Lakes in MI so I wanted range that the hand helds can't provide. 5Good radioExcellent radio. Performs well, the panel controls are decent. The speaker volume could stand to be increased for using in a noisy environment, but the existing volume is adequate for the inside of boats and vehicles. The dual channel operation is a great feature. 5Five StarsExcellent replacement, great range and clarity. 5
